SUMMARY: This item provides an opportunity for the board to be briefed on current agenda items, Texas Education Agency staffing changes and operations as well as updates on implementation of public education-related legislation.

BOARD RESPONSE: Review and comment.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION AND SIGNIFICANT ISSUES: On an as needed basis, the board will be briefed on significant public education issues and events.
