COMMITTEE ON SCHOOL FINANCE/PERMANENT SCHOOL FUND: DISCUSSION
STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION: NO ACTION

SUMMARY: Staff will review the Texas Education Agency administrative and program budget for the 2016-2017 biennium per the appropriations set by the 84th Texas Legislature in House Bill (HB) 1, Regular Session. The committee will be provided an opportunity to comment on the proposed budgets.

STATUTORY AUTHORITY: Texas Education Code (TEC), §7.055(c).

BOARD RESPONSE: Review and comment.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION AND SIGNIFICANT ISSUES: This is the 2016-2017 administrative and program budgets for the biennium covered by the General Appropriations Act passed by the 84th Texas Legislature in HB 1, Regular Session.

FISCAL IMPACT: None.
